Sick little boys...

We thought we were going to have a fairly uneventful weekend with Grandpa and Grandma Kay coming to town. On Wednesday, Tyler woke up in the middle of the night throwing up. Both boys had the sniffles earlier that day so we thought it was just a cold. Tyler seemed to get better, but Garrett did not. The next few days he took on the form of a lifeless blob. He would lay wherever he was and sleep. He was drinking enough fluids to not get dehydrated and was eating a little bit. Grandma and Grandpa Kay ended up not seeing the boys because they didnt want to catch whatever the boys had and give it to my brother's six boys back in Burley.
On Sunday night, we decided to take Garrett in to the mini-hospital because he was not doing so great and we didnt want to have to worry about him in the night. They admitted him and he got his first ambulance ride to the actual hospital. The place that we took him to is affiliated with one of the local hospitals, but the mini-hospital wasnt equipped to keep him over night.
Turns out he has pneumonia, and an infection in one lung and part of the other. We just found out this morning that he has RSV( respiratory syncitial virus). Not a good thing. We are still unclear whether he has RSV on top of pneumonia, or RSV instead of pneumonia.
Grandpa Kay and I gave him a blessing last night and Machelle stayed in the hospital with him. Grandma Kay stayed with Tyler in Boise until Logan got home from the hospital at about 2:30 AM. We have been told that he wont be released until he can maintain his oxygen levels by himself for 12-24 hours. They said it can get very frustrating because he can have a good turn around and then slip downhill the next minute. They seem like it just has to run it's course and he will be ok. It just depends how long it takes him.
How THANKFUL we are to family that was able to step in and help out. I guess the Lord knew that they were supposed to be in town for an extra day. Thanks mom and dad.
