Hip Hip Hooray! The boys that we waited 9 years for have finally arrived! Easton Andrew Hyer (4lbs 4oz) and Kohen Hawkins Hyer (5lb 12oz) were born on October 9th at about 10am via c-section. Shannon got admitted to the hospital on Weds with preeclampsia and by Saturday morning the doctors decided it was time for the little guys to come out. They were born at 33 1/2 weeks, so they will be in the NICU for several weeks until they are able to eat on their own. They are both doing really well and have already learned how to suck on binkies, so that's a great start. Shannon ended up in the ICU for a day to be monitored for pneumonia but is now on the mend and will hopefully be going home tomorrow!
In case the pictures don't do justice, it looks like both boys may end up with RED HAIR! Kohen's will probably be curly strawberry blonde and Easton's looks like it may be sort of auburn.
